Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Architect to join our growing architectural design team. The ideal candidate will have 2–4 years of experience in architectural design and construction, with a genuine interest in emerging technologies and sustainable design. You will work closely with senior architects and cross-functional teams to contribute to architectural design for 3D printed construction projects — developing your technical skills while helping push the boundaries of how structures are built.
Key Responsibilities
1. Design Support & Documentation
- Assist in the end-to-end architectural design process for 3D printed construction projects.
- Prepare and maintain detailed architectural drawings, plans, renderings, and specifications.
- Update and manage design documentation throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accuracy and version control.
- Support the creation of 3D models, visualizations, and presentation materials for internal reviews.
2. Technical Collaboration
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and cross-functional team members to integrate 3D printing technology into architectural designs.
- Contribute ideas and design inputs during project development, design reviews, and team workshops.
- Assist in exploring and developing design solutions that leverage the capabilities and constraints of concrete 3D printing.
- Coordinate with materials and operations teams to understand print parameters and incorporate them into design detailing.
3. Compliance & Standards
- Ensure all designs adhere to applicable local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Reviewing and validating design outputs for accuracy, constructability, and compliance.
- Flag design or documentation issues proactively and support timely resolution.
4. Design Visualization & Communication
- Prepare clear and accurate design drawings, visualizations, and models for both internal and external communication.
- Communicate design intent effectively through drawings, models, and written documentation.
- Support the preparation of design presentations for internal teams and project stakeholders.
5. Research & Continuous Learning
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements in 3D printing technology, and sustainable building practices.
- Actively develop skills in parametric, computational, and digital fabrication design tools.
- Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and design research initiatives within the team.
Qualifications & Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or a related field (mandatory)
- Master’s degree in Architecture or a related discipline is an added advantage
Experience
- 2–4 years of experience in architectural design and construction
- Prior exposure to innovative, parametric, or non-traditional construction methods is a plus
- Experience contributing to or supporting projects that involved digital fabrication or advanced construction technologies is advantageous
